Mikey Kile Suites up for NASCAR Nationwide Debut

Posted on 4/1/2010

ARCA 2010 Championship contender Mikey Kile has plenty of reason to be ecstatic about for the 2010 season. Kile was fastest during open test sessions for Venturini Motorsports at Daytona Int'l Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway and posted a top-10 finish at Palm Beach International Raceway.

The 27-year-old is now beaming over his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut this weekend on April 3rd at Nashville Superspeedway. Kile will be driving the No. 10 AccuDoc Solutions Toyota for Braun Racing.

"I can’t ask for a better situation than to take this step in my career with a proven team like Braun Racing," said Kile. "This is an outstanding organization, with first-rate equipment and an extremely talented crew and staff. I’m looking forward to working with veteran crew chief, Stewart Cooper, and the entire No. 10 crew. Stewart has experience in working with young, up and coming drivers so I know he will be a good mentor for me as I step into these uncharted waters."

Todd Braun, Braun Racing owner, is glad to have Kile racing for Braun in his Nationwide Series debut.

"We are very happy to have Mikey join our lineup of talented drivers this season," said Todd Braun Racing owner, Todd Braun. "He is a talented young driver and we look forward to working with him as he takes this next step in his career. I expect good things for him in the future."

Kile’s first NASCAR debut was last season in 2009 for Brad Keselowski Racing in a partial Camping World Series schedule. He racked up three top-15 finishes in just 6 starts. Kile also competed in 8 ARCA Racing Series events in 2009 accumulating four top-10 finishes.

“I’m just looking to go out there and make a solid run and earn respect from a bunch of them guys. Hopefully, I’ll have a real good finish and can build toward the future.”

Along with driving the full ARCA Racing schedule for Venturini Motorsports, Mikey Kile is scheduled to make starts in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at O’Reilly Raceway Park, Dover, Kansas and Gateway.

Kile hopes that the NASCAR Nationwide starts and ARCA Racing season with Venturini Motorsports will jumpstart his career in NASCAR.

“I talked to Billy at the end of last year and he was wanting me to get in his No. 25 car, which they call their house car. It’s their legendary number they’ve raced with their whole life. For him to ask me to drive the No. 25 car is a huge honor, with the people that’s been in it and the success it’s had. I knew it was an easy decision to do it. It was a no brainer,” said Kile.

Kile’s next ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards is April 11th at Salem Speedway. The 200-lap race will begin at 2:15 PM and will be featured in live streaming audio at ARCARacing.com.

Don’t forget to catch Mikey Kile’s NASCAR Nationwide debut at Nashville Superspeedway on April 3rd at 3:30pm on ESPN.
