Nashville Experience Gives Boost to Rookie Natalie Decker

Concord, NC (April 10, 2018) - Natalie Decker made her first ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards start since winning the pole award and finishing fifth in the season opener at Daytona, made her track debut in Saturday's Music City 200 at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville.

Taking on her first full season Natalie Decker finished 11th driving her newly designed No.25 N29 Capital Partners – Yamaha Power Products Toyota.

Nearly missing out on the top-10, the twenty-year old rookie, feels good about her early season progress.

“I love short track racing. It was definitely good to get back in the car again after a long wait,” said Decker. “The car was pretty good tonight. We didn't get the finish we wanted but overall a good night with plenty of positives to take away."

After qualifying 12th with a fast lap of 110.735 mph (19.376 seconds) Decker raced her way up to sixth spot before a late race race pit stop and tight handling race car moved the rookie driver back in the field.

"I definitely learned a lot out there tonight. I feel I made some positive gains. We held our own early and by mid race I was able to drive up to sixth. But we really struggled big in the corners. The car was super tight and we gave back some spots. The track was tricky, it changed a lot throughout the night."

"I'm satisfied but I definitely know there's still work to do to improve. We've got a great team and tons of support. Dave Leiner (crew chief) and I have great communication and we'll go back to the shop this week and review the race. I feel I learned a lot and will take all those positives and apply everything at Salem," added Decker.

Decker, making several public appearances prior to the Nashville race and supporting National Distracted Driving month (April), now begins preparation for her next start at Salem Speedway on Sunday April, 22.
